Understanding ADHD
Understanding ADHD begins with recognising that it’s more than difficulty focusing or being “easily distracted.” ADHD affects how the brain manages attention, energy and impulses, often creating challenges in work, relationships and daily routines. Many people with ADHD are resourceful, intuitive and highly creative, yet may feel overwhelmed by expectations that don’t match how their minds work. Counselling offers a space to explore these experiences without judgement, develop practical strategies and build self‑compassion. When individuals understand their unique patterns, they can move from frustration toward confidence and clarity. Support doesn’t change who you are — it helps you thrive as yourself.
